NBA Teams Face Oct. 31 Deadline on 2026-27 Rookie-Scale Options

Spread the love

Front offices have two months to decide whether to guarantee a third or fourth season for players still on rookie-scale contracts. All decisions on 2026-27 team options must be filed with the league by Oct. 31, 2025.

The players listed below are already under contract for 2025-26. By Halloween, clubs must either pick up the option—locking in the salary shown—or decline it and allow the deal to expire next summer. Most rookie-scale salaries remain low enough that the majority of options are expected to be exercised, but each outcome will be tracked as teams make their calls.
