Jaren Jackson Jr. to Undergo Knee Surgery, Will Miss Rest of Season

Salt Lake City, Feb. 12, 2026 — The Utah Jazz announced Thursday that forward Jaren Jackson Jr. will be sidelined for the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign while he undergoes surgery to remove a localized pigmented villonodular synovitis (PVNS) growth in his left knee.
According to the team’s statement, the growth was detected on an MRI conducted during Jackson’s physical after he was acquired from the Memphis Grizzlies in a trade last week. The procedure is expected to take place over the upcoming All-Star break.
Jackson, 26, has not appeared in a game for Utah since the trade. A timeline for his recovery beyond this season was not provided.
