Rookie guard Bronny James made the most of an unexpected opportunity on Tuesday night, delivering one of the Los Angeles Lakers’ brightest performances in a road loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
Los Angeles entered the game with a depleted roster, forcing head coach Darvin Ham to rely on seldom-used players for significant stretches. James, seeing extended playing time, responded with energetic defense and timely scoring that briefly sparked the Lakers’ offense.
Despite the rookie’s spark, San Antonio maintained control and handed the Lakers the defeat, continuing Los Angeles’ recent struggles while shorthanded.
