The Detroit Pistons are converting guard Daniss Jenkins from a two-way player to a standard NBA contract, sources told ESPN on Feb. 8, 2026.

The new agreement covers the remainder of this season and 2026-27, with the final year set as a team option. Jenkins’ representative, Derek Jackson of UNLTD Sports Group, and the club completed the deal using a portion of Detroit’s bi-annual exception, according to the sources.

Jenkins, 24, has averaged nearly 17 minutes per game for the Eastern Conference’s top-seeded Pistons, earning seven starts after logging limited time a year ago. Known for his perimeter defense, he is shooting 39% from three-point range and contributing 3.3 assists per contest.

The 6-foot-3 guard went undrafted out of St. John’s in 2024 and signed a two-way contract with Detroit shortly afterward.
