Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Dončić is stepping into the virtual arena through a new partnership with Blizzard Entertainment’s shooter Overwatch, giving gamers access to a playable Dončić skin and a series of themed rewards.

The collaboration launched Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2025, alongside the start of Overwatch Season 18. Players can now unlock a Dončić character skin, earn “Sharpshooter 77” player titles, collect 77 free loot boxes, equip a golden basketball weapon charm featuring his No. 77, and spray his likeness in-game.

“Many have seen how competitive I am on the basketball court, but you may not know that I’m just as competitive when I’m playing Overwatch,” Dončić said in a statement released with the announcement. “I love this game and am excited about this partnership. It’s special to be in the game in a way that other players can be part of.”

Themed billboards promoting the crossover are rolling out in three key markets: outside Crypto.com Arena and L.A. Live in Los Angeles, near American Airlines Center in Dallas, and in Katowice, Poland, where Dončić is competing in FIBA EuroBasket.

Blizzard also introduced three “Stadium” hero builds inspired by the 26-year-old: “Luka Magic Cassidy,” “Lucio Dunk,” and “Hooper Zarya,” giving fans additional ways to play in his style.

Dončić’s first offseason with the Lakers has been packed. After a first-round playoff exit in May, he underwent a widely noted physical transformation, embarked on a Jordan Brand tour, and signed a three-year, $165 million contract extension on Aug. 2. He is currently with Slovenia’s national team preparing for EuroBasket.

The Overwatch collaboration marks the latest off-court venture for the four-time All-NBA guard since arriving in Los Angeles.
