With the Feb. 5 trade deadline approaching, front-office conversations are intensifying around three potential movers: Daniel Gafford, Kyle Kuzma, and Coby White.

Mavericks

League sources say several clubs — the Celtics, Hawks, Hornets, Pacers and Warriors among them — have contacted Dallas about center Daniel Gafford. Executives view the 25-year-old as the Mavericks’ most attainable asset because of his production, team-friendly contract and ability to slot into a contender’s rotation as a rim-runner, rebounder and interior defender. Should Dallas decide to reshape its roster, Gafford is widely regarded as the first piece likely to be moved.

Bucks

Milwaukee remains open to dealing forward Kyle Kuzma, but rival teams are resisting the 28-year-old’s salary unless additional compensation is attached. According to sources, the Bucks may need to include future draft considerations, potentially a pick swap, to unload Kuzma’s contract while bringing back meaningful help.

Bulls

Chicago is receiving inquiries about guard Coby White from the Clippers, Hawks, Magic and Timberwolves, sources report. White is headed toward unrestricted free agency, and the Bulls are said to be positioning Josh Giddey as their long-term backcourt priority. That stance increases the likelihood of a White trade, though no deal is guaranteed with the deadline nearing.
