The Cleveland Cavaliers announced Sunday that guard Darius Garland has a Grade 1 sprain of his right big toe and will be re-evaluated in seven to 10 days.
Garland left Wednesday’s 133-107 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers midway through the third quarter after the ball was knocked loose and he went to the floor. He was helped up, limped to the bench, and eventually walked to the locker room with a towel over his head. Further tests were performed Saturday at Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine.
The 25-year-old guard dealt with turf toe on his left foot last season, an issue that lingered through the playoffs and required offseason surgery, delaying the start of his 2025-26 campaign.
Through 25 games this season, the two-time All-Star is averaging 17.9 points and 6.9 assists. Before exiting Wednesday’s game, he had posted 20 points and seven assists in 23 minutes.
