LOS ANGELES — Luka Doncic labeled his night “terrible” after the Los Angeles Lakers fell 105-101 to the Milwaukee Bucks on Jan. 9, 2026, at Crypto.com Arena.

The All-NBA guard shot 8-for-25 from the field and 4-for-8 at the free-throw line, finishing with 28 points but fouling out in the final minute. His sixth foul came when he landed under Kevin Porter Jr. on a three-point attempt, leading to the deciding free throws.

“I think I missed the shots I usually make,” Doncic said postgame. “Those little floaters in the paint—I work on that a lot. Today was a terrible day for me.”

Doncic’s long-range touch remained intact—he hit 4-of-6 from beyond the arc—but his inside shots rarely fell, allowing Milwaukee to build a double-digit cushion. The Lakers cut the deficit in the fourth quarter yet never took the lead.

The foul on Porter marked Doncic’s first disqualification in several seasons. “We can’t foul on a three-pointer,” he said. “The referee said it was a foul, so I guess it’s a foul.”

Los Angeles, now 27-11, visits the Sacramento Kings on Monday. Doncic, currently the top vote-getter for the 2026 NBA All-Star Game, is expected to start when the midseason showcase tips at Intuit Dome in February.
