LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles Lakers confirmed Friday that LeBron James will be in uniform for the home game against the Milwaukee Bucks, while forward Rui Hachimura has been ruled out.
James, 41, had been listed as questionable due to left foot joint arthritis and right sciatica. After missing Wednesday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs, the league’s all-time minutes leader returned to practice during the two-day break and was cleared to play.
Hachimura, sidelined by a right calf strain, was also originally listed as questionable. The forward leads the Lakers in three-point accuracy this season, converting 44.5 percent of his 4.1 attempts per game across 27 appearances. He practiced earlier this week with the South Bay Lakers but will need additional recovery time, with his next possible return coming Monday.
Austin Reaves (left calf strain) and Adou Thiero (right MCL sprain) remain out.
James said recently that his availability for back-to-back sets will be determined on a game-to-game basis. The Lakers have two such sets next week, keeping his status for those contests uncertain.
Tip-off against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks is scheduled for Friday night at Crypto.com Arena.
