The Milwaukee Bucks waived guard Mark Sears on Wednesday, according to the NBA’s official transaction log. The move was completed before the league-wide salary-guarantee date, allowing Milwaukee to avoid being responsible for the remainder of Sears’s 2025-26 salary.

Sears, 6-feet tall and a former standout at the University of Alabama, signed a two-way contract with the Bucks in July after going undrafted in June. He spent the first half of the season on that two-way deal but saw limited NBA action, appearing in seven games for a total of 26 minutes. In those brief stints—primarily in garbage time—he scored 22 points.

With the Bucks’ G League affiliate, the Wisconsin Herd, the rookie averaged 16.2 points, 5.4 assists and 2.8 assists across 12 games, logging 31.0 minutes per contest while shooting .422 from the field, .328 from three-point range and .839 at the free-throw line.

Milwaukee now joins Atlanta and New York as the only NBA teams currently carrying an open two-way roster spot.
