Hawks, Wizards Agree on Deal Sending Trae Young to Washington

The Atlanta Hawks have reached an agreement to trade All-Star guard Trae Young to the Washington Wizards, multiple outlets reported on January 7.
Sources informed ESPN’s Shams Charania that Atlanta will acquire guards CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert in return. Michael Scotto of HoopsHype added that the transaction does not include any draft picks.
The trade was reported at approximately 8:31 p.m. CST. Additional details, including when the deal will be finalized and when players will report to their new teams, were not immediately released.
