The Detroit Pistons followed a dominant 121-90 victory over the New York Knicks on Monday night by taking a playful jab at their Eastern Conference rivals on social media.

Detroit, eliminated by New York in six games during the opening round of the 2025 NBA playoffs, turned the tables with its fourth-largest regular-season win against the Knicks in franchise history, according to ESPN Research.

Cade Cunningham powered the Pistons (27-9) with 29 points and 13 assists. Jalen Brunson paced New York with 25 points, but the defeat extended the Knicks’ skid to four games, their longest in the past two seasons. The 90-point output was New York’s lowest since March 2024.

After the game, Detroit’s official Instagram account posted a graphic styled like a New York City subway wall with the caption “Bing Bong,” echoing the rally cry shouted by Knicks fan Jordie Bloom in a 2021 Sidetalk YouTube video. The phrase became a viral slogan for New York during the 2021-22 season and has since been embraced by the team and its supporters.

The teams are scheduled to meet again on Feb. 6.
