Suns’ Jalen Green Fined $25,000 for Postgame Profanity

PHOENIX — The NBA has fined Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green $25,000 for using profanity during an on-court interview with teammate Collin Gillespie after Monday night’s 115-101 win over the Washington Wizards, the league said Tuesday.
Green, who did not play in the game, joined Gillespie on the court to celebrate the victory. While Gillespie spoke with broadcasters about his 25-point performance on 10-for-14 shooting, Green interrupted the conversation with profane language that was picked up on the live broadcast.
The 21-year-old guard has appeared in only two games this season while recovering from a hamstring injury.
