The Cleveland Cavaliers rediscovered their shooting touch on Monday night, hitting 24 three-pointers in a 139–132 victory over the Charlotte Hornets at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
After a string of uneven offensive performances, Cleveland’s perimeter barrage proved decisive. Guard Darius Garland paced the hosts with 27 points and 10 assists, while back-court partner Donovan Mitchell added 30 points without dominating possessions.
De’Andre Hunter contributed 27 points in a much-needed bounce-back effort, and Sam Merrill provided energy in his first appearance after a month-long absence, despite limited scoring.
The Cavaliers’ defense allowed frequent clean looks, but the offense compensated by consistently stretching the floor. The 24 triples swung the math in Cleveland’s favor and halted the team’s recent skid.
With the win, the Cavaliers move to 16-14. They continue their homestand on Tuesday against the New Orleans Pelicans.
