Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James declined to weigh in on the Los Angeles Clippers’ unresolved separation from Chris Paul, telling reporters he has not spoken with his longtime friend since the move was announced.
“It’s none of my business,” James said when asked about Paul’s status, according to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin. “It’s not for me to comment on.”
The Clippers publicly stated weeks ago that they were parting ways with the veteran guard, reportedly citing discomfort with his presence. Despite that declaration, Paul remains on the roster—neither traded nor waived—leaving his future with the franchise uncertain.
Clippers Rout Shorthanded Lakers
On the court, the Clippers rolled past a depleted Lakers squad. The crosstown matchup grew more lopsided when leading scorer Luka Dončić departed in the first half with a leg injury.
