PAOK BC announced on December 19 that veteran guard Patrick Beverley has signed a contract for the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign, finalizing an agreement that had been contingent on a physical examination.
Beverley, 37, spent 12 seasons in the NBA from 2012 through 2024. The Chicago native appeared in 666 regular-season games for seven franchises, averaging 8.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 26.6 minutes per contest while shooting 41.3 percent from the field, 37.1 percent from three-point range and 76.0 percent at the foul line.
His NBA tenure ended tumultuously during the 2024 playoffs. In the closing seconds of Milwaukee’s elimination in Indiana, Beverley repeatedly threw a basketball into the stands, striking a female Pacers fan and prompting both a police investigation and a four-game suspension that would have started the 2024-25 season had he remained in the league.
Instead, the guard opened the 2024-25 season with Hapoel Tel Aviv. He departed the Israeli club in February following a team-imposed suspension.
Last month, Beverley was arrested in Texas on a family-violence assault charge. Authorities allege he punched his 15-year-old sister in the eye and choked her for up to 30 seconds. He was released after posting a $40,000 bond and has denied the accusations.
The deal with PAOK BC gives Beverley his first opportunity to return to the court since leaving Israel earlier this year.
