The Dallas Mavericks have made it clear they will only entertain offers for Anthony Davis if the package delivers major value, league sources told Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.
Fischer reported that Dallas views Davis as a foundational piece after acquiring him in last season’s Luka Doncic blockbuster and has no interest in merely unloading the All-Star’s sizable contract. The 31-year-old forward is earning $54.1 million this season, is owed $58.5 million in 2025-26 and holds a $62.8 million player option for 2027-28.
Internally, the Mavericks compare Davis’s deal to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s pact with Milwaukee, underscoring the front office’s reluctance to sell low. Team officials are expected to stay in communication with Davis’s representatives at Klutch Sports Group, led by agent Rich Paul, while evaluating in-season possibilities.
Several clubs are monitoring the situation. According to Fischer, the Toronto Raptors and Atlanta Hawks have expressed interest, though any proposal would depend on both price and long-term planning.
Since joining Dallas, Davis has appeared in 20 games, averaging 20.0 points and 10.5 rebounds. A left calf injury has limited him to 11 contests this season.
