Pistons add Javonte Green on one-year deal
The Detroit Pistons have filled the 14th spot on their 15-man roster by signing forward Javonte Green to a one-year, veteran-minimum contract. According to Spotrac, the deal is valued at $2,874,436 and carries a partial guarantee of $925,000. Known for his aggressive defense, rebounding and shot-blocking despite a 6’4″ frame, Green is expected to compete for minutes on the wing and could also see time as an undersized power forward. Team observers note his above-the-rim athleticism will add another lob threat to the rotation.
Cleveland Charge turn to Eli Kell-Abrams
The Cleveland Cavaliers have selected Eli Kell-Abrams as head coach of their NBA G League affiliate, the Cleveland Charge. Kell-Abrams spent the past two seasons as a video coordinator with the Portland Trail Blazers and previously held positions in the Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat organizations.
Portis confident Antetokounmpo remains committed to Milwaukee
Bucks forward Bobby Portis told ESPN Milwaukee he does not expect Giannis Antetokounmpo to request a trade. “Giannis bleeds green,” Portis said, adding that he believes Milwaukee’s recent playoff exits were primarily injury-related. Portis cited a series of setbacks—Antetokounmpo’s 2023 back injury against Miami, his 2024 leg issue versus Boston, and other ailments—as the main obstacles to another title run.
Bulls rejecting calls on Coby White
Elsewhere in the division, reports indicate the Chicago Bulls are declining trade inquiries for guard Coby White.
