Salt Lake City, UT, Dec. 10 — Utah Jazz head coach Will Hardy erupted on the sideline during Sunday’s 131-101 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, shouting, “I’m tired of f—ing doing this every game. F—ing play harder,” in a clip that quickly circulated on social media.

The outburst came midway through a night in which Oklahoma City—playing without MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander—opened a 45-20 first-quarter lead and finished with 21 three-pointers at Delta Center. The defeat followed a 146-112 blowout by the New York Knicks on Friday, dropping Utah to 8-15.

Hardy, in his fourth season at the helm and still seeking his first postseason berth, has leaned heavily on younger players as the franchise moves on from the Donovan Mitchell–Rudy Gobert era. Third-year guard Keyonte George has shown notable improvement, and rookie forward Ace Bailey continues to progress, but the team entered the night holding the eighth-best early lottery odds and roughly a 35 percent chance at the 2026 No. 1 pick.

Utah played without leading scorer Lauri Markkanen, sidelined by illness, yet Hardy pointed to effort rather than absences as the primary concern. The Thunder dominated both the paint and perimeter, handing the Jazz a second straight one-sided loss and turning Hardy’s sideline plea into a public snapshot of mounting frustration.
