The Oklahoma City Thunder own the league’s top record at 23–1 after games played through Friday, Dec. 8, giving them a 5.5-game cushion over both the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference.

In the East, the Detroit Pistons sit at 19–5, 2.5 games ahead of the New York Knicks. The Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic and Miami Heat round out the conference’s top six.
