Former lottery pick Killian Hayes is turning down strong interest from several EuroLeague clubs as he concentrates on securing a place on an NBA roster for the 2025-26 season.

According to French outlet BeBasket, the 24-year-old point guard received a lucrative proposal from ASVEL Basket and also drew inquiries from Real Madrid and Anadolu Efes. All three teams compete in Europe’s top competition, but sources say Hayes remains intent on staying in the United States.

The No. 7 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft played 216 regular-season games over five seasons, four of them with Detroit. During his time with the Pistons, he shot 38.2 percent from the field and 27.7 percent from beyond the arc.

Last season, Hayes appeared in six contests for the Brooklyn Nets, averaging 9.0 points, 5.2 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 27.0 minutes while hitting 38.1 percent of his three-point attempts. He spent most of 2024-25 with the G League’s Long Island Nets, where he posted 17.3 points, 7.4 assists and 5.4 rebounds per game on .463/.371/.689 shooting across 33 outings.

Because Hayes has surpassed the NBA’s service-time limit for two-way contracts, any return to the league must come via a standard 15-man roster spot. Training camps open in the fall.
