Pacers Reportedly Tracking Warriors Forward Jonathan Kuminga

Spread the love

The Indiana Pacers have been closely monitoring Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga since the start of the 2022-23 campaign, according to a report from Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.

Sleague sources told Siegel that Indiana’s interest has persisted long enough for rival front offices to speculate about what Golden State might demand in serious trade talks. One name mentioned as a potential centerpiece in any negotiation is Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin.

League chatter also indicates Indiana could weigh offers involving other members of its young core—Mathurin, rookie Jarace Walker or forward Obi Toppin—because of future salary-cap considerations and a crowded rotation.

The discussions remain exploratory, and no deal is believed to be imminent. Nonetheless, Kuminga is firmly on the Pacers’ radar as they evaluate ways to bolster their roster.
