ESPN will bring Inside the NBA to its airwaves for the first time on October 22, but the network’s advance schedule lists only one telecast before the Christmas Day slate.
The TNT-produced studio show, featuring Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith, is set for a 30-minute window from 12:05 a.m. to 12:35 a.m. ET after ESPN’s opening-night doubleheader. A standard Bristol-based edition of SportsCenter is slated to follow at 12:35 a.m.
After the debut, Inside the NBA is not scheduled to return until December 25, leaving viewers without the popular quartet for roughly two months and three days. Network listings note that all times and dates remain subject to change.
The NBA has already announced its opening-night matchups as well as games for Christmas Day and Martin Luther King Jr. Day in January.
