Trail Blazers’ Grant, Pelicans’ Missi tossed after on-court fight

Portland forward Jerami Grant and New Orleans rookie Yves Missi were both ejected on Thursday night, Nov. 13, after a brief but heated altercation during the Trail Blazers’ matchup with the Pelicans.
The confrontation erupted midway through the second half when the two players tangled beneath the basket while jostling for rebounding position. Words were exchanged, shoves followed, and officials quickly stepped in as teammates from both sides tried to separate the pair.
After a video review, the officiating crew assessed double technical fouls and ruled the incident worthy of immediate ejections. Grant and Missi were escorted to their respective locker rooms, and play resumed a few minutes later.
No injuries were reported, and the league is expected to review the fight for possible additional discipline.
