Southern California lifestyle brand TravisMathew will launch its first apparel line with Los Angeles Lakers guard and brand ambassador Austin Reaves on Oct. 20 at 9 a.m. PT.
The limited-edition Austin Reaves Collection features polos, T-shirts, bottoms, outerwear and headwear designed to transition seamlessly from the golf course to the basketball court. According to the company, the pieces combine Reaves’s personal style with TravisMathew’s emphasis on premium fabrics, comfort and versatility.
“I’ve been part of the TravisMathew team as a Brand Ambassador for almost two years, and it’s been a great fit from the start,” Reaves said. “Partnering on this collection has been an awesome experience, especially getting to put my own touch on it. I’m excited for people to see the pieces and try them out for themselves.”
Leif Sunderland, chief marketing officer at TravisMathew, described Reaves as “the blend of performance and lifestyle at the core of TravisMathew,” noting that the guard’s success on the court and passion for golf informed the design process. “It’s a versatile lineup made to move from course to courtside, and we’re excited for both TravisMathew customers and Austin’s fans to experience it,” Sunderland said.
Reaves’s collaboration with TravisMathew adds to a growing portfolio of off-court partnerships. Earlier this month, he and sportswear company Rigorer released his AR3 signature basketball shoe.
The third-year guard’s rising profile has drawn praise from new Lakers head coach JJ Redick, who compared Reaves’s ability to draw fouls and create offense to that of former NBA Sixth Man of the Year Jamal Crawford.
