The South Bay Lakers will open their 18th NBA G League season with back-to-back home games against the Valley Suns on Saturday, Nov. 8 and Sunday, Nov. 9 at the UCLA Health Training Center, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
The 2025-26 campaign again follows the league’s two-phase format. A Tip-Off Tournament starts the year, followed by the NBA G League Winter Showcase in Orlando from Dec. 19-22. South Bay’s regular-season slate begins Saturday, Dec. 27 on the road versus the Oklahoma City Blue.
Key schedule notes
- 24 home dates, including 14 contests on Friday, Saturday or Sunday
- Seven sets of back-to-backs, starting with the opening weekend against the Suns
- Regional telecasts on Spectrum SportsNet; tickets are on sale now
Los Angeles continues to rely on its G League affiliate for player development. Second-round pick Adou Thiero is expected to log early-season minutes in El Segundo, while Exhibit 10 signees Kylor Kelley, Eric Dixon, Augustus Marciulionis, RJ Davis and Arthur Kaluma are also projected to join the South Bay roster.
Recent seasons have produced rotation contributors such as Jordan Goodwin and helped accelerate the growth of guard Bronny James, who assistant coach Nate McMillan said could earn time with the Lakers in 2025-26.
