Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua says he hopes to team up with Luka Doncic of the Los Angeles Lakers for a new podcast after the two athletes met earlier this season.
During an appearance on ESPN’s “Mason & Ireland,” Nacua recounted chatting with Doncic at the guard’s first home game as a Laker on Feb. 10, 2025 at Crypto.com Arena. Both athletes are endorsed by the Jordan Brand and exchanged jerseys and sneakers after the game.
“I did meet Luka. I was at Luka’s first home game as a Laker, his home opener. I got a Luka jersey. We’re both Jordan athletes, we exchanged [jerseys], I got a pair of Luka’s shoes,” Nacua told the radio show. “I’m going to the game tonight, hopefully I’ll see him and pull him off to the side and be like, ‘Yo, I would love to start a podcast, it’s your boy Puka.’”
The wideout’s on-air pitch sparked interest among fans imagining a “Puka and Luka” podcast featuring perspectives from both the NFL and NBA. No formal plans have been announced.
Doncic Leads All-Star Voting
While Nacua explores media ideas, Doncic continues to collect accolades on the court. The Slovenian guard was named an NBA All-Star starter after receiving the most fan votes league-wide.
“I don’t take it for granted. I want to thank everybody that voted for me,” Doncic said after the final tally was released. “That’s a big achievement for me.”
Whether the proposed podcast materializes or not, the cross-sport connection adds another layer to Los Angeles’ vibrant sports scene.
