Prime Video will premiere “Jerry West: The Logo” on April 16, unveiling a feature-length documentary that charts the life and career of Hall of Famer Jerry West. Produced by Khalabo Ink Society and Propagate Content, the film explores the legendary guard’s relentless pursuit of victory and the personal sacrifices that accompanied it.
The newly released trailer offers a first look at interviews with family members, friends, former teammates and colleagues. Appearances include Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson and Shaquille O’Neal, who share first-hand accounts of West’s influence on and off the court.
Legacy on the Floor and in the Front Office
West led the Los Angeles Lakers to their first NBA championship after the franchise’s move to Southern California, captured one league title as a player and earned 14 All-Star selections. He remains the only player in NBA history to win Finals MVP while playing for the losing team.
Transitioning to the front office, West built six championship rosters for the Lakers before guiding the Memphis Grizzlies to consistent playoff berths as general manager. He later joined the Golden State Warriors’ executive board, contributing to titles in 2015 and 2017.
Recent Lakers Milestone
West’s impact continues to echo through Lakers history. Earlier in the 2025-26 season, Luka Dončić notched a 45-point, 11-rebound, 14-assist triple-double against the Utah Jazz. The performance marked just the fourth 40-point triple-double in franchise history, joining feats by Magic Johnson, Elgin Baylor and West himself.
“Jerry West: The Logo” streams exclusively on Prime Video beginning April 16.
