Nike is set to release the first sneaker bearing Bronny James’ name, a special colorway of the LeBron NXXT Genisus, on September 12, 2025. The shoe will retail for $170, according to Sneaker News.
Although the model is not a signature line for the second-year Los Angeles Lakers guard, it marks the debut of his name on a commercially available Nike product. The drop arrives shortly before the 2025-26 NBA season, which will feature Bronny and his father, LeBron James, sharing the Lakers’ roster for a second straight year.
Bronny, who saw most of his minutes in the G League as a rookie, is expected to compete for a larger rotation role after demonstrating defensive prowess with the parent club and offensive growth during Summer League play. Meanwhile, LeBron prepares for an unprecedented 23rd NBA season at age 41, coming off an All-NBA Second Team selection.
Nike’s “Forever King” Campaign Continues
The Bronny colorway coincides with Nike’s broader “Forever King” initiative surrounding LeBron’s upcoming season. The brand recently issued a teaser for the LeBron XXIII, the next entry in the veteran star’s signature line, as part of the campaign.
