Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for “UNTOLD: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom,” a documentary that will premiere on March 31 and chronicle the highs and lows of the former Los Angeles Lakers forward.
The two-minute preview, posted on Netflix’s official X account on March 3, 2026, teases interviews with Odom, his ex-wife Khloé Kardashian, former Lakers teammate Metta World Peace and Hall of Fame coach Phil Jackson. The film revisits Odom’s key role in the Lakers’ back-to-back NBA championships in 2009 and 2010, his 2011 Sixth Man of the Year award and his unique 6-foot-10 skill set that blended point-guard vision with front-court size.
A significant portion of the documentary focuses on Odom’s long-publicized struggle with substance abuse, culminating in the 2015 incident at Nevada’s Love Ranch where he was found unconscious after suffering multiple heart attacks and 12 strokes. Odom, now an advocate for addiction recovery, reflects on the choices that nearly ended his life.
The feature is part of Netflix’s “UNTOLD” series, which revisits pivotal sports stories through firsthand accounts. In the trailer, Odom states that his battles with drugs kept him from reaching his full basketball potential—a sentiment he has previously linked to missing out on Hall of Fame consideration.
“UNTOLD: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom” will be available to stream globally on Netflix starting March 31.
