The National Basketball Association has launched its first flagship retail location on the West Coast, unveiling an 11,000-square-foot NBA Store at Universal CityWalk Hollywood in partnership with sports-merchandise retailer Lids.

Grand Opening Weekend

The store’s official debut is set for Aug. 30–31. The two-day celebration will feature appearances by current and former NBA and WNBA players, interactive games, giveaways, a live DJ, pop-a-shot competitions, and photo opportunities with the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.

Immersive In-Store Experiences

Visitors will find an Immersion Zone designed by artist Victor Solomon, showcasing powder-coated steel and 24-karat-gold installations. An adjacent Experience Zone will screen game highlights on a continuous loop. On-site customization services will allow fans to create personalized jerseys and hats.

Product Selection

Shoppers can browse a broad range of official NBA and WNBA merchandise, including jerseys, apparel, headwear, footwear, sporting goods, toys, and collectibles. Featured brands include Nike, Fanatics, Mitchell & Ness, New Era, Wilson, and others.

Mark Cuban Reflects on Luka Doncic Trade

With Lakers jerseys for new acquisition Luka Doncic expected to be a top seller at the CityWalk location, Dallas Mavericks minority owner Mark Cuban recently addressed the blockbuster trade on a livestream. Cuban said he felt he “let people down” by not being present to argue against moving the All-NBA guard, but added that winning would eventually ease fan frustration.
