Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic returned to the lineup on Sunday, December 7, 2025, after a two-game absence and confirmed that he and fiancée Anamaria Goltes have welcomed their second daughter, Olivia.

Doncic had missed Thursday’s matchup with the Toronto Raptors and Friday’s contest against the Boston Celtics while traveling to Slovenia for the birth. The team initially listed “personal reasons” for his absence.

Back on the court against the Philadelphia 76ers at Xfinity Mobile Arena, the All-Star produced a 31-point, 15-rebound, 11-assist triple-double, guiding Los Angeles to its first victory in Philadelphia in eight years.

‘I’m Just Blessed’

Speaking with reporters after the 138-127 win, Doncic reflected on now being a father of two girls: “It’s the best thing in the world. Obviously, two girls, they’re going to make my life hell, for sure. I know that. I’m going to be their security after I retire. All jokes aside, it’s the best thing in the world. I’m just blessed.

Olivia joins older sister Gabriela in the Doncic-Goltes family. Shortly after Doncic announced the news on Instagram Saturday morning, teammate LeBron James posted a congratulatory message. James and Austin Reaves helped the Lakers split the two games Doncic missed on the East Coast trip.
