Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic marked the holiday season by purchasing 103 premium electric bicycles for everyone in the organization’s basketball operations department, head coach JJ Redick said after practice on Tuesday.
According to Redick, the gift list included every player, coach and staff member connected to basketball operations. “He got everybody in basketball ops, I think it was 103 total gifts,” Redick told reporters, noting the bikes are “very, very high-end” models that he looks forward to riding to the beach.
The gesture extends Doncic’s pattern of giving since joining the Lakers. Redick referenced the guard’s quick response to the Southern California wildfires earlier this year, when Doncic provided aid roughly a month after the disaster. The coach also recalled a Porsche driving experience Doncic organized for teammates earlier in the season.
Doncic, acquired by Los Angeles in the offseason, has been central to the team’s chemistry on and off the court. The Lakers have repeatedly emphasized a family-oriented culture, and Tuesday’s delivery reinforced that approach as the club prepares for its upcoming slate of December games.
