INDIANAPOLIS — WNBA sensation Caitlin Clark traded her Indiana Fever uniform for a camera on Wednesday night, shooting baseline photographs as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Indiana Pacers 137-130 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Although Clark’s presence went unnoticed by Luka Doncic during play, the Lakers guard expressed admiration afterward on Spectrum SportsNet. “Not really much of a relationship, but I’m a big fan for sure,” Doncic said. “I watch a lot of games. Definitely her hooping, it’s great to watch. I for sure have to go to a game to see her.”

Doncic powers Lakers’ offense

Doncic led Los Angeles with 43 points, his fifth 40-point performance in the past 11 contests. Austin Reaves added 25, LeBron James scored 23, and center Jaxson Hayes—starting for the injured Deandre Ayton—posted 21 points and a double-double. The victory capped a 5-1 road trip for the Lakers, who controlled the contest despite the single-digit final margin.

Clark’s growing résumé behind and off the lens

Clark, the former Iowa star often compared to Stephen Curry, was Rookie of the Year, an All-Star, and an All-WNBA First Team selection in her debut season. Injuries limited her second campaign to 13 games, but her sideline photography on Wednesday showcased another talent. Other athletes have pursued similar interests, including Ken Griffey Jr., Simone Biles, and Suni Lee.

For now, Clark remains focused on basketball, yet her camera work offered a different view of a high-scoring Lakers performance she once again witnessed up close—this time from behind the lens.
