HOUSTON — Luka Doncic has entered statistical territory last reached by Kobe Bryant while fueling the Los Angeles Lakers’ current winning run.

The 26-year-old guard has averaged 37.8 points over his last six appearances, the highest figure by any Laker in a comparable stretch since Bryant posted 39.5 points per game during the 2011-12 season, according to ESPN Insights.

Six-Game Breakdown

• 44 points vs. Indiana Pacers
• 35 points vs. New York Knicks
• 31 points vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
• Season-high 51 points vs. Chicago Bulls
• 30 points vs. Denver Nuggets
• 36 points on Monday night against the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center (Mar. 16, 2026)

The outburst has coincided with a six-game Lakers win streak and victories in nine of their last ten, pushing the club toward the Western Conference’s No. 3 seed. Doncic supplied 36 of Los Angeles’ 100 points in Monday’s 100-92 decision over Houston while the defense limited the Rockets to 92.

Weekly Honors

The NBA named Doncic Western Conference Player of the Week for games played March 9-15 after he guided the Lakers to a 3-0 record against Minnesota, Chicago and Denver. During that span he averaged 37.3 points, 10.7 rebounds, 11 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.7 blocks, recording two triple-doubles. It is his third weekly award this season with Los Angeles and the 17th of his career; he also earned the honor in early December and late January and was Western Conference Player of the Month in January.

Los Angeles continues its trip Wednesday in Dallas as Doncic looks to extend both his scoring tear and the team’s momentum.
