Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic appeared on the YouTube show “Hot Ones” during his summer Jordan Brand Tour, tackling a lineup of increasingly spicy chicken wings while discussing basketball and his life away from the court.
Joined by host Sean Evans, the three-time All-Star fielded questions about his charitable foundation, differences between the NBA and European basketball, and his off-court interests. Doncic breezed through the milder sauces—joking that he would not need milk—but began sweating as the heat intensified, eventually turning to both water and milk to finish the challenge.
Despite the mounting spice, the 26-year-old competitor declined an offer of ice cream at the end of the episode, saying he wanted to prove his resolve. The segment also revealed a lighter side of the Slovenian star: he noted his love for the video game Overwatch, as well as musicals and television shows.
Doncic’s media swing follows an off-season dedicated to fitness. After showing a leaner frame during EuroBasket 2025 and recent Lakers workouts, he has yet to appear in preseason action as the team carefully manages his workload ahead of Opening Night.
Teammate LeBron James recently praised Doncic’s commitment to conditioning, underscoring expectations for the 2025-26 campaign.
