Lakers star Luka Doncic surprises 25 fans with signature shoes and suite upgrade on Christmas Day

Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic turned Christmas Day into an unforgettable experience for dozens of fans at Crypto.com Arena, handing out his new Luka 5 sneakers and luxury suite seats during the matchup against the Houston Rockets on Dec. 25, 2025.
Before tip-off, Doncic’s team identified 25 supporters in the 300 level, delivering each a “Luka 5 Gift Package” that included his latest Jordan Brand signature shoe. Minutes later, the All-Star upgraded 15 additional fans to a private suite he personally arranged.
The surprise coincided with the public debut of the Luka 5, which features full-length Zoom Strobel cushioning, a new ISOband for improved control, and the brand’s trademark ISOplate for lateral stability. The low-profile model maintains a full-length herringbone traction pattern with HART rubber. Jordan Brand says the shoe will launch Jan. 8 on Jordan.com and at select retailers in a “Venom” black-and-green colorway, while Nike.com lists an all-green “Viper Edge” version as coming soon.
Though the Lakers fell to the Rockets, Christmas marked Doncic’s return after missing one game. The Slovenian star has shown a pattern of generosity since joining the franchise: he previously donated to Southern California wildfire relief and recently provided e-bikes to teammates, coaches, and staff.
