EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — The Los Angeles Lakers have signed forward Anton Watson and guard Nate Williams and have waived guard Tevian Jones and forward Eric Dixon, the organization announced Monday. Contract terms were not disclosed, but the deals are expected to be Exhibit 10 agreements designed for training-camp competition and potential G League assignment.

Watson, 24, measures 6-foot-8 and 225 pounds. He appeared in nine games for the New York Knicks during the 2024-25 season and played 37 contests (34 starts) with the Maine Celtics of the NBA G League, averaging 12.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steal in 29.9 minutes. The Spokane native was selected 54th overall by the Boston Celtics in the 2024 NBA Draft after five seasons at Gonzaga, where he earned All-WCC First Team honors as a senior with averages of 14.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.5 steals in 31.3 minutes.

Williams, 26, is a 6-foot-5, 205-pound guard who logged 20 games for the Houston Rockets last season, posting 3.3 points in 7.4 minutes per outing. Across three NBA campaigns with Houston and the Portland Trail Blazers, he has played 47 games (four starts) and recorded 3.9 points and 1.1 rebounds in 8.6 minutes. In the G League, the Buffalo product has appeared in 82 games (62 starts) with Rio Grande Valley and Salt Lake City, averaging 14.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 steals in 28.5 minutes. Williams finished his collegiate career at the University at Buffalo in 2022, earning All-MAC First Team honors after contributing 19.1 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

Los Angeles still has one open two-way roster slot. Any Exhibit 10 signees who are waived could join the South Bay Lakers if they do not secure opportunities elsewhere.

Meanwhile, guard Luka Doncic said ahead of his first Lakers training camp that he intends to assume a more vocal leadership role on and off the court, noting that detailed roster discussions with general manager Rob Pelinka will intensify once the team convenes in person during the preseason.
