Nike plans to bring another Kobe Bryant silhouette back to retail, announcing that the Kobe 3 Protro Low will hit the market in 2026.

The brand revealed the news on Aug. 25, 2025 through its Nike Basketball social-media channels, teasing the drop with the message, “Same craft. New cut. The Kobe 3 Protro Low. Coming 2026.”

Following the formula Bryant helped popularize, the upcoming release converts the original Kobe 3 Protro into a low-top build while preserving the shoe’s signature design lines. According to Nike, the model features a modern mesh upper and an upgraded Zoom strobe cushioning unit.

The first colorway previewed is an all-white “Halo” edition, matching the high-top version that debuted earlier this year. Vanessa Bryant showcased the low-top on her Instagram account during Mamba Day celebrations on Aug. 24.

Kobe Bryant’s footwear remains a fixture in the NBA; players such as DeMar DeRozan and Anthony Davis routinely opt for his sneakers during games. Continuous redesigns—labeled “Protro” for “performance retro”—have helped sustain demand across generations of athletes and collectors.

Record trading card sale underscores Bryant’s market impact

Beyond footwear, Bryant memorabilia continues to draw high prices. A dual trading card featuring Bryant and Michael Jordan recently fetched a record $12.9 million at a Heritage Auctions sale, underscoring the late Lakers star’s enduring appeal to collectors.

Additional details on pricing and wider colorway releases for the Kobe 3 Protro Low are expected closer to the 2026 launch window.
