Manhattan Beach, Calif. — Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic has bought a modern three-story residence in Manhattan Beach that previously belonged to retired tennis star Maria Sharapova for $25 million.
Property records reviewed by the Southern California News Group show the transaction closed in late August. The 26-year-old Slovenian acquired the home through his business manager, Lara Beth Seager.
The beachfront house features five bedrooms, a two-lane bowling alley and a great room that opens directly to the pool. Large windows provide unobstructed ocean views, an amenity Doncic said he appreciated after being traded to Los Angeles.
Doncic signed a three-year, $165 million contract extension with the Lakers on Aug. 2, 2025, and is expected to lead the team during the 2025-26 season. His playoff run with Slovenia at EuroBasket 2025 ended in the quarterfinals, but his performance reportedly encouraged the Lakers’ front office to consider taking on additional long-term salary in pursuit of a championship.
The purchase marks the star guard’s first permanent residence in Southern California after spending the end of last season in hotels and rental properties.
