LOS ANGELES — Guard Austin Reaves shook off a rough opening half and poured in 29 of his 31 points after intermission, powering the Los Angeles Lakers past the Minnesota Timberwolves 120-106 on March 10, 2026, at Crypto.com Arena.

Reaves entered halftime with just two points on 1-for-8 shooting. The third-year guard then caught fire, hitting 9 of 12 attempts and 4 of 5 three-pointers over the final two quarters. He also finished with seven rebounds and eight assists as Los Angeles secured its sixth win in the last seven games.

“I finally made some shots,” Reaves said. “When we move the ball and make the right play, everything gets easier.” The Arkansas native converted two four-point plays during the surge and consistently found lanes to the rim.

Los Angeles and Minnesota were tied at the break, but Reaves’ outburst, combined with another strong outing from Luka Dončić, allowed the Lakers to pull away for their second straight double-digit victory over a playoff opponent.

Head coach JJ Redick also highlighted center Deandre Ayton’s contribution, praising the big man’s work on both ends of the floor against the Timberwolves’ frontline.

At 6-1 over their last seven contests, Reaves believes the Lakers are trending upward. “We just have to stick to the plan, get better every day and compete at a high level,” he said.
