The Los Angeles Lakers snapped a three-game skid on Sunday night, overpowering the Sacramento Kings 125-101 at Crypto.com Arena.
Luka Doncic paced Los Angeles with a game-high 34 points, knocking down several deep three-pointers during a decisive second quarter. The guard added seven assists, five rebounds, three steals and a block in 33 minutes.
LeBron James, appearing in his final game as a 40-year-old, thrilled the home crowd with a string of dunks en route to 24 points. He also recorded five assists, three rebounds and two steals.
Head coach JJ Redick’s club entered the matchup on the heels of its longest losing streak of the 2025-26 season and responded with energy at both ends of the floor. After struggling in third quarters for much of the year, the Lakers widened the gap immediately after halftime and never looked back.
Rookie guard Nick Smith Jr., elevated in the rotation with Austin Reaves and Gabe Vincent sidelined, supplied 21 points off the bench to bolster the offense.
The Lakers improve to 19-13 and will host the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday in their final game of 2025 before a home-and-home set against the Memphis Grizzlies.
