Jordan Brand has scheduled the Luka 5, Luka Dončić’s fifth signature sneaker, to arrive on Jan. 8 through Jordan.com and select retailers.
The model debuts in a Venom colorway, combining black and green tones, while Nike’s product page lists an all-green Viper Edge edition as “coming soon.” Dončić is expected to wear the Luka 5 for the first time during the Los Angeles Lakers’ Christmas matchup against the Houston Rockets.
Performance Features
For the first time in Dončić’s line, the shoe incorporates a full-length Zoom Strobel unit, designed to deliver responsive propulsion across the entire footbed. A new ISOband wraps the upper to assist with multi-directional takeoffs, and the familiar ISOplate adds underfoot stability and lateral support during sharp cuts.
Additional specs include a CushIon 3.0 midsole for added comfort, a low-profile build to keep the foot close to the floor, and a full-length herringbone outsole made with HART rubber for enhanced traction.
Launch Campaign
The release is being promoted through a short film titled “Bad Luka, Nice Shoes,” featuring ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and former NBA center Boban Marjanović. The video highlights Dončić’s on-court style while showcasing the sneaker’s key design elements.
“Working with Jordan Brand on the Luka 5 was about making something that fits my game and keeps evolving with me,” Dončić said in a statement included in the brand’s announcement.
