The Los Angeles Lakers collected their second straight win Monday night, topping the Chicago Bulls 129-118 at United Center in the fourth contest of their eight-game road swing.

Luka Doncic, the NBA’s scoring leader midway through the 2025-26 season, paced Los Angeles with 46 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds. The All-Star guard exploited mismatches all evening, mixing long-range jumpers with drives to the rim to keep Chicago’s defense off balance.

Chicago opened the game hot from the field, but the Lakers seized control before halftime. The Bulls clawed back after intermission, trimming the deficit to a single point in the third quarter. Doncic responded with a flurry of threes and paint finishes that restored breathing room, and Los Angeles closed strong in the fourth.

Rui Hachimura supplied a major lift off the bench, hitting 9 of 11 shots—including 4 of 5 from beyond the arc—for 23 points. LeBron James added 24 points, five rebounds and three assists, repeatedly pushing the pace in transition.

The highlight of the night belonged to Jaxson Hayes, who picked off a pass late in the game, dribbled full court and punctuated the possession with a between-the-legs dunk.

The victory moves the Lakers past the midway mark of their trip. They visit the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday, travel to face the Washington Wizards on Friday and wrap up the week Sunday against the New York Knicks.
