Brooklyn has released Chinese forward Zeng Fanbo, the club announced Friday.
The 22-year-old had joined the Nets on an Exhibit 10 contract and is expected to report to the Long Island Nets of the NBA G League. Under the Exhibit 10 terms, he can earn a bonus of up to $85,300 if he remains with Brooklyn’s affiliate for at least 60 days.
Zeng, a 6’10” forward, spent the past three seasons with the Beijing Ducks in the Chinese Basketball Association. He appeared in 42 games during the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 14.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks while shooting 53% from the floor and 41% from beyond the arc.
He took the floor once for Brooklyn during the preseason.
The move leaves the Nets with two open spots on their offseason roster.
