Wizards to Add Guard Alondes Williams on 10-Day Contract

The Washington Wizards are bringing in guard Alondes Williams on a 10-day deal, according to a report from ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Williams, 26, has logged NBA minutes with the Nets, Heat and Pistons since going undrafted in 2022. His longest stretch came last season, when he appeared in seven games for Miami.
The 6-foot-4 guard has been one of the standouts for the Wizards’ G League affiliate, the Capital City Go-Go, averaging 20.2 points, 4.5 assists and 5.2 rebounds across 13 regular-season contests. He is shooting a career-best 43.0% from three-point range during that span.
Williams’ outside touch has developed significantly since college, where he hit 27.0% of his attempts over three years. In the G League, he owns a lifetime three-point mark of 37.0% on 5.4 attempts per game.
The 10-day contract gives Washington a short-term look at Williams while adding depth to the backcourt.
