The Washington Wizards have signed free-agent forward Julian Reese to a two-way contract, the club announced Saturday on social media.
Reese, 22, grew up in Baltimore and spent four collegiate seasons at Maryland. After going undrafted in 2025, the 6’9” power forward accepted an Exhibit 10 agreement with the Toronto Raptors last fall. He was waived before the season to secure an Exhibit 10 bonus and joined the Raptors’ G League affiliate, Raptors 905, for the 2025-26 campaign.
Across 38 appearances in the G League’s Tip-Off Tournament and regular season, Reese has averaged 7.9 points, 7.2 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 17.2 minutes per game. He has converted 62.9% of his field-goal attempts and 66.2% of his free throws.
According to The Athletic’s Josh Robbins, the Wizards expect Reese to be available as soon as Tuesday’s matchup in Orlando.
Washington had an open two-way slot after elevating Jamir Watkins to a standard two-year contract earlier this month. Under league rules, Reese can be active for up to 13 NBA games while on his two-way deal.
Julian Reese is the younger brother of Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese.
