Forward Anthony Gill has finalized a one-year, minimum-salary contract with the Washington Wizards, and the deal is fully guaranteed, according to league documents reviewed on Aug. 11.
Gill, 32, agreed to waive the implicit no-trade clause that normally accompanies a one-year pact re-signed with the same club. As a result, Washington can trade him beginning Dec. 15. The veteran has been viewed as a locker-room leader in recent seasons and will earn the league minimum.
The guaranteed agreement pushes Washington’s tally to 15 players on guaranteed contracts, plus rotation wing Justin Champagnie on a non-guaranteed deal. To meet the 15-man regular-season limit, the Wizards must waive or trade one player before opening night; league sources identify Dillon Jones and Malaki Branham as possible casualties.
Spurs Structure Camp Contracts
The San Antonio Spurs signed center Micah Potter and guard Adam Flagler to non-guaranteed contracts that include both Exhibit 9 and Exhibit 10 language. Each player would earn an $85,300 bonus if waived and then remains with the G League’s Austin Spurs for at least 60 days.
Forwards Riley Minix and Harrison Ingram accepted their two-way qualifying offers. Both deals run one season and carry partial guarantees of $85,300.
Clippers Add Exhibit 10 Incentives
The Los Angeles Clippers awarded the maximum Exhibit 10 bonus—$85,300—to forward Patrick Baldwin Jr. and guard TyTy Washington Jr.. The club already holds Baldwin’s G League rights and can gain Washington’s by naming him an affiliate player. If neither contract is converted to a two-way slot, both players are expected to report to the San Diego Clippers in the NBA G League.
All six agreements were completed ahead of training camps that open later this fall.
