The Washington Wizards have reached an Exhibit 10 agreement with Australian forward Akoldah Gak, agent Deirunas Visockas told ESPN on Aug. 8, 2025.

The contract is the 23-year-old’s first in the NBA. Gak began his professional career in Australia, logging regular minutes with the Cairns Taipans starting in 2023. During the 2024-25 National Basketball League season he averaged 6.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 19.5 minutes while shooting 51.5 percent from the field.

Earlier in 2025, the 6-foot-11 forward moved to the United States to join the Mexico City Capitanes of the NBA G League. He later appeared in three Summer League games for Washington, posting 4.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists across 16.8 minutes per contest in Las Vegas.

Gak is unlikely to make the Wizards’ opening-night roster but is expected to be a leading candidate for an affiliate spot with the Capital City Go-Go, the organization’s G League club. Under the Exhibit 10 terms, he can earn a bonus of up to $85,300 if Washington waives him and he remains with the Go-Go for at least 60 days.
