Wembanyama, Herro Collect Conference Player of the Week Honors

The NBA on Monday named San Antonio Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama the Western Conference Player of the Week and Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played March 2-8.
Wembanyama averaged 26.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 4.8 blocks while leading San Antonio to a 4-0 record during the period.
Herro posted 26.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game and connected on 51.7 percent of his three-point attempts as Miami also went 4-0. The honor is the second of his career.
Other Western Conference nominees were Devin Booker (Suns), Luka Dončić (Lakers), Anthony Edwards (Timberwolves), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Thunder), Jrue Holiday (Trail Blazers) and Kawhi Leonard (Clippers). Eastern Conference nominees included Bam Adebayo (Heat), Paolo Banchero (Magic), Jalen Johnson (Hawks) and Karl-Anthony Towns (Knicks).
